Delayed sleep phase syndrome customer question
Sue wrote to us and said,
“I have delayed sleep phase syndrome so I have trouble getting to sleep at night, I’ve been wearing Re-Timer in the evenings but I seem to be staying up even later than normal, am I using it right?”
For people suffering from delayed sleep phase syndrome, Re-Timer should be worn in the morning. Wearing Re-Timer in the morning helps to increase energy and alertness, but most importantly helps your body to recognise an earlier sleep time.
If you suffer from delayed sleep and you wear Re-Timer in the evening, it will contribute to you staying awake and your sleep time will become even later.
So if you want to sleep earlier at night, wear Re-Timer in the morning at your desired wake time.
